Graduate School Deadline: Determined by Academic Program
Program Description
The Purdue Doctoral Fellowship is a two-year award to enhance the diversity of the graduate student body through the recruitment of students from diverse backgrounds with diverse views and experiences.

Qualifications
Applicants for the Purdue Doctoral Fellowships/Assistantships are students who will receive a degree from an accredited U.S. high school, are pursuing a doctoral degree, demonstrate superior academic achievements and scholarly abilities, and submit a diversity essay to the respective academic department. The diversity essay should be 500 words or less responding to the statement: Describe your leadership, work experience, service experience, or other significant involvement with racial, ethnic, socio-economic, or educational communities that have traditionally been underrepresented in higher education, and how these experiences would promote a diversity of views, experiences, and ideas in the pursuit of research, scholarship, and creative excellence.
